Does black SeaDek get hot?

Like any material left in the sun, such as upholstery or carpet, darker colors will become warmer than lighter colors, but unlike many vinyl and composite marine floorings on the market, SeaDek will never become so warm that it is unpleasant to stand or sit on.

How do you clean SeaDek?

Liquid dish soap (ammonia-free) is safe for use on cleaning your deck when mixed with a little warm water. Simply mix 1 gallon of water, 2 tablespoons of ammonia-free dish soap (such as Murphy’s), 1 pint of rubbing alcohol, and 1 quart of oxygen bleach. Be very careful so that you use only ammonia free dish soap.

Will SeaDek stick to non-skid?

Can SeaDek be applied over existing non-skid? SeaDek adheres very well to most molded-in non-skids and properly applied and maintained aggregate type non-skid paints, as long as the surface is cleaned properly.
