What is Nerisone?
Nerisone® is an anti-inflammatory medicine (a corticosteroid) for use on the skin. Nerisone® treats inflammatory and allergic skin reactions (eg. eczema) that can cause redness, swelling, itchiness or soreness.
What is Nerisona C used for?
It is used to reduce redness and to relieve inflammation and itching associated with skin conditions such as those caused by contact or allergic dermatitis (eczema), and seborrheic dermatitis. Diflucortolone has an anti-inflammatory and anti-itching effect.
What is Travocort?
What Travocort® is and what it is used for. This medicine is used to treat fungal infections of the skin where inflammation (redness, swelling, soreness) is also a problem. This medicine contains two active substances, isoconazole nitrate and diflucortolone valerate.
What is Nerisone oily cream?
This medication contains a topical anti-inflammatory drug from the cortisone family (corticosteroid). Typically, it is used for inflammation and itching. It requires several days to take effect.
Is Nerisone cream a steroid?
Preparations containing 0.1% diflucortolone (Nerisone®) are potent topical steroids, and the higher strength which contains 0.3% diflucortolone (Nerisone Forte®) is classed as a very potent topical steroid.

Topical steroids come in different strengths, ranging from mild to moderate, potent and very potent. Side effects are more common in high-potency prescription-strength steroid creams.

Isoconazole nitrate treats fungal diseases of the skin and diflucortolone valerate suppresses inflammation of the skin and soothes complaints such as itching, burning and pain.
Is Travocort a steroid?
Travocort is a combination of 1% isoconazole nitrate (ISN), a broad-spectrum imidazole with established antimicrobial activity and antimycotic efficacy, and 0.1% diflucortolone valerate (DFV), a potent topical corticosteroid with low systemic absorption and therefore a low risk of systemic glucocorticoid side-effects.
Is Locoid cream good for eczema?
Locoid Cream is indicated in adults, children and infants above 3 months of age. The product is recommended for treatment of inflammatory skin disorders not caused by micro-organisms e.g. eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis.
