Can you have extensions with curly hair?

One of the most common questions we receive from customers or those considering purchasing clip-in hair extensions, is if it will blend with their natural, textured-curly hair. The answer has always been yes!

Can you get curly bonded hair extensions?

If you want to instantly enhance your current hairstyle, there is no better way than pre-bonded curly hair extensions. Providing glamorous curls, they can be blended into your natural hair and attached using heated, keratin-based glue.

Can natural curly hair get extensions?

Curly hair extensions are in fact, very real. They’re made two different ways – chemically, where the hair is permed to create the curl, or by steaming, where the hair is put on a rod and set with steam (kind of like a flexirod set, but permanent).

Why won’t my extensions hold curls?

When purchasing a new set of extensions, no two sets of hair extensions will ever be the same. This is due to the hair donor and its another reason why the hair may not hold a curl well, as some Chinese hair can be more courser in texture than others which results in curling the hair seem nearly impossible.

Can extensions be permed?

You can perm your hair extensions. But remember to always be careful when doing so. Private Label Extensions’ high-quality hair has the capability of being permed. Be mindful that perming any type of human hair extensions decreases the quality of it.

Can I get a perm with extensions?

Doing a perm on extensions will be the fastest perm you will ever do — under five minutes. Use a color safe perm and be careful not to over process. Use a rod that is one size smaller than the client’s natural curl — this will help the extensions blend well.

Is it better to curl extensions before or after?

Speaking of curling, it does not matter whether you curl your hair before or after applying the extensions. However, even though my hair and the extensions were pre-curled in this post, I do prefer to curl after I’ve applied all the hair. This typically creates a more unified, blended look.

How long does a perm last?

Perms generally last between two and 10 months, depending on what kind of perm you get, what hair-care routine you follow, and how quickly your hair grows.
