What is the Ppat?

The Praxis ® Principles of Learning and Teaching tests measure knowledge and theory of practice and the PPAT measures the ability to teach. The PPAT can serve as a complement to or replacement for PLT tests. ETS will work with states to determine the assessments that best meet the state’s specific needs.

How many points is Ppat Task 4 worth?

The score for Task 4 is doubled; therefore, the maximum score is 32 (the range is 8–32). For the overall PPAT, the maximum score is 60 (the range is 15–60).

The recommended passing score for the overall PPAT is 40 out of a possible 60 points. Procedural and internal sources of evidence support the reasonableness of the recommended passing scores.

How is 268 scored?

Note: Principals (268) must obtain a minimum score of 85% on representative exam. If student does not pass repeat assignment three with minimum passing score of 240. Once Rep Exam passing scores are achieved student becomes eligible for state exam.

Can you fail the Ppat?

If you are unable to pass the assessment during the original submission window or the resubmission window, you must retake the assessment in a future submission window.

Is Ppat Task 1 scored?

Task 1, a formative task is not scored by ETS. Your educator preparation program provides formative feedback to you on the response that you submit for this task. Tasks 2, 3 and 4 are centrally scored by ETS-trained raters using rubrics that contain quantitative and qualitative elements of evidence.
